Mr. P.Deepak, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology with a team of scientists is credited with the discovery of a new species of fejervaryan frog in the high grasslands of the Western Ghats in Goa. The new species has been named Fejervaryagoemchi after Goa,where it was discovered.
The department brings out an annual newsletter with articles contributed by the students’ interviews with renowned scientists and wildlife activists, Departmental workshops and activities.
