Guest Lectures and Field Visits

 The first guest lecture was organized for the final year students on 17th July 2017. The lecture was conducted by Ms Savitha Vatsala on Women and Law – Sexual harassment at workplace. It was an interactive and an extremely informative session for all the V semester students.

On 16th August 2017, Dr. Madhurima enlightened the V Semester students on Research Methods and Techniques. The lecture covered the various methods and techniques required for a proper research.

A lecture on Statistical Measures was conducted by Ms Ashwini on 9th September 2017 for the V semester students.

On the 27th of July, 2017, the sociology department of Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru , organised a field visit for second year UG to Janapada Loka Museum at Ramanagara.

A batch of students pursuing Industrial Sociology were taken for an industrial visit to Mysore Sandal Soap Factory and students pursuing medical sociology were taken to Karunashraya an Hospice center.
