  • Initiate multidisciplinary programs through academia industry interface with emphasis on Biotechnological approach
  • Create awareness on recent developments in Biotechnology through industrial visits, workshops and guest lectures.
  • To become a resource centre for Biotechnology information and education

Eligibility: BSc (Life sciences with Chemistry) with a score of 65% and above

Research Activities:

  • Department got approved to conduct BiSEP – a post graduate diploma funded by Government of Karnataka to enrich students with industrial exposure, with the chosen the domain of Cellular and Molecular Diagnostics
  • Under INNO INDIGO* Partnership Programme Joint Call on Bioeconomy (CDTI (Spain) and GITA (India) funding under CDTI-DST(GITA) Program) project titledConversion of Lignocellulosic Wastes into Biofuels and Bioplastics” has been selected for DBT grant.
